Capstone Strata is a boutique strata management firm. Our clients value quality, professionalism and thoughtful advice. We intentionally manage a select portfolio of complex properties, allowing us to focus on doing things properly rather than doing more.
We are a close-knit, collaborative team that takes pride in accuracy, integrity and supporting one another. As we continue to grow, we're looking for someone who shares those values and enjoys bringing structure and precision to financial administration.
The Role
This is a part-time Accounts & Finance role within our close-knit, office-first team.
You'll play a key role in the day-to-day financial administration of our strata portfolio, working closely with the Managing Director and team to ensure our trust accounting and financial records remain accurate, compliant and well organised.
Remuneration will be based on the successful candidate's experience.
Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
- Trust account reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing statutory financial reports
- Conducting month- and year-end review of all financial accounts
- Assisting Strata Managers with annual budgets and financial statements
- Liaising with auditors and external accountants
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Processing supplier invoices and owner payments
- Preparing electronic payment runs
The role can be shaped around the successful candidate's experience and strengths.
Structure & Hours
The role is part-time (approximately 10-15 hours per week), however there is opportunity for increased hours and/or responsibilities as the business grows.
Ideally, we'd love someone who can attend the office most days of the week. That said, we're open to structuring the role around the right candidate.
This position would suit someone seeking:
- School hours
- A return to the workforce
- A long-term, stable role within a supportive team
Our preference is consistency. We are office-first and value knowing when you will be in the office as our model is built on team collaboration.
Hybrid arrangements are available where needed – we are a family-supportive workplace and not rigid where there are genuine needs.
About You
Cultural fit is our primary focus. You will enjoy working with us if you:
- Are the sort of person who notices when something doesn't reconcile – and enjoys working out why
- Have a methodical and organised approach
- Like improving systems and processes
- Communicate professionally and respectfully
- Value reliability and consistency
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
- Have a naturally curious mindset and ask questions when something doesn't look right
Skills & Qualifications
We’re interested in capability more than titles or certificates.
Highly regarded:
- Previous strata trust accounting experience
- Strata Master experience
Essential:
- Accounting, bookkeeping or finance qualifications
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience within property or professional services
- High Microsoft Excel proficiency
