About the role

McGuire Hotels is seeking a Hotel Receptionist to join our team in Morningside, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing an essential service to our guests. As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their stay and ensuring they receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role is pivotal to creating positive first impressions and maintaining the high standards McGuire Hotels is known for.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and checking them in using our hotel management systems

- Responding promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests and complaints

- Processing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately

- Managing room bookings, modifications and cancellations with attention to detail

- Providing information about hotel facilities, services and local attractions

- Handling payment transactions securely and processing invoices

- Maintaining accurate records and updating guest information in the system

- Coordinating with other departments to meet guest needs and resolve issues

- Answering telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately

- Performing administrative duties including mail handling and message taking

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in a front office, reception or guest-facing role within the hospitality industry

- Proficiency in using hotel management systems and computerised booking platforms

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail





- Ability to remain calm and professional when managing multiple tasks and guest requests

- Reliable, punctual and versatile approach to casual work arrangements

- Competency in cash handling and basic accounting principles

- A friendly, professional appearance and demeanour

- Current knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures

- Certificate III or IV in Hospitality or equivalent experience is preferred
