About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Staff Specialist Physician for an exciting opportunity at The Broken Hill Health Service.
- Provide professional General Physician care to public and private patients from some of the most vulnerable communities in NSW
- Supervise junior medical staff and empower them to achieve our vision of excellence in rural and remote health

About Broken Hill

Selection Criteria
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
- Demonstrated technical and professional competence in the specialty,
including recent hospital experience within the specialty.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, Colleagues, and staff and to work as an effective member of the clinical team across multiple sites. Demonstrated commitment to provision of a high standard of clinical care in the public sector setting.
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Demonstrated evidence of clinical education and supervision of Junior Medical Officers and commitment to education and training of the multi-disciplinary clinical workforce.
