What’s the Role?
We are seeking an experienced Rural Generalist Podiatrist for a full-time, hospital-based locum position in Victor Harbor, within South Australia’s Barossa Hills Fleurieu region.

Commencing ASAP for an initial 3–6 months, with the potential for extension, this opportunity offers a diverse rural generalist caseload within a supportive multidisciplinary hospital environment.

You will provide inpatient and outpatient podiatry services, with a strong focus on high-risk foot management, chronic disease and diabetes-related foot conditions. The role also includes outreach services to Strathalbyn, providing an prospect to support patients across the wider regional community.

This position requires strong clinical autonomy, sound clinical decision-making and the ability to contribute to multidisciplinary care planning while supporting junior staff where required.

Position Details

- Location: Victor Harbor, SA
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3–6 months, with potential extension
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 38–40 hours per week; part-time considered
- Rate: Up to $85 per hour + superannuation
- Travel: Weekly petrol allowance (pro rata) provided
- Caseload: Inpatient and outpatient hospital podiatry, high-risk foot management, chronic disease and outreach to Strathalbyn

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver podiatry services across inpatient and outpatient hospital settings
- Manage a rural generalist caseload including chronic disease, high-risk foot conditions, and acute presentations
- Provide assessment, treatment planning,



and ongoing management of foot and lower limb conditions
- Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Contribute to care planning, case conferencing, and clinical decision-making
- Support preventative care, early intervention, and rehabilitation-focused interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide informal supervision and support to junior staff and allied health assistants where required

To Be Successful, You Will Have

- Bachelor of Podiatry (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
- Australian working rights
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS Clearance
- Strong experience in chronic disease and high-risk foot management
- Confidence working in hospital-based inpatient and outpatient settings
- Ability to work independently in a rural generalist capacity
- Previous rural or regional hospital experience highly regarded
