Working within our Operations team, you will manage export shipments from booking through to completion while providing a high level of service to our customers, agents and suppliers.
Key responsibilities
- Managing export sea and air freight shipments from start to finish
- Coordinating bookings with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers and other suppliers
- Preparing and processing export documentation
- Completing and managing EDNs and other required export documentation
- Monitoring shipment milestones and proactively managing exceptions
- Liaising with customers, overseas agents and internal teams
- Ensuring files are maintained accurately and efficiently within CargoWise
- Managing operational deadlines and ensuring shipments progress as planned
- Checking supplier invoices and maintaining accurate job costing
- Providing clear and proactive shipment updates
About you
- Previous experience in freight forwarding export operations desirable or university degree in logistics
- Strong knowledge of sea and/or air freight exports desirable
- Experience using CargoWise highly regarded
- Good understanding of Australian export processes and documentation
- Solid organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently while being part of a wider national team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
