About the Role
This is a hands-on role covering both Human Resources and Organisational Compliance. You will work closely with management and support workers to maintain a positive workplace culture while ensuring our employment, training, documentation and compliance requirements are consistently met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing employee onboarding, inductions and HR documentation
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Monitoring staff qualifications, training and mandatory requirements
- Coordinating probation reviews, performance management and employee processes
- Supporting recruitment, reference checks and employment documentation
- Maintaining compliance registers and staff compliance records
- Assisting with policies, procedures and internal compliance processes
- Monitoring required checks, licences, certifications and renewals
- Supporting incident, complaint and investigation processes where required
- Assisting with audits and preparation for compliance reviews
- Providing practical HR advice and support to managers and staff
- Helping develop and maintain a positive, respectful and accountable workplace culture
- Ensuring HR and compliance practices align with relevant legislation and disability-sector requirements
- Maintain participant files, service agreements, support plans, risk assessments and consent forms.
- Monitor participant documentation, reviews and compliance requirements.
- Maintain incident, complaints, risk and corrective action registers.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, approachable and highly detail-oriented, with the confidence to manage sensitive HR and compliance matters professionally.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in HR, compliance, people & culture, or a similar role
- Experience working in the disability, health, community services or NDIS sector highly regarded
- Strong understanding of Australian employment practices and workplace requirements
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of confidentiality and skilled integrity
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confidence working independently while also being part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
