Safety Environment and Quality Officer - Multiple Site Options (Tamworth, Dubbo, Newcastle, Grafton OR Wagga Wagga).

Position supports a statewide operational team and therefore, 100% on-site, flexibility with travel will be required.

Start date: ASAP
Initial Contract Term: 8-weeks from commencement
Pay Rate: up to $640.00 per day, day rate + superannuation

About the role

The role will coordinate the implementation, improvement, and assurance of Maintenance & Delivery quality management systems. The role will provide high level advice and support to all staff and ensures system performance, monitoring, assurance, and reporting is completed as required. The role will also engage with local government to support achievement of the business' contract requirements.

Key responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:

- Role modelling collegiate and collaborative behaviours to achieve the greater good for the community, celebrate the business' diverse workforce, create an environment where people can create and thrive, and support our people's wellbeing

- Monitor the region's approach to implementation of management plans that manage requirements and meet client expectations in project delivery to ensure compliance with SEQ systems and policies

- Ensure that quality system documents and records demonstrate compliance with and facilitate ongoing continuous improvement in SEQ Systems to deliver high-quality outcomes





- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with other Branches and Division staff to influence the development of relevant policies and procedures

- Coordinate the management system training to the business including to coordinate development of training plans and strategies, to ensure users understand systems requirements and comply with the Resource Management systems

- Develop and coordinate the audit program to ensure Maintenance & Delivery, Transport and statutory requirements are met, risks are identified, and managed and relevant certifications and accreditations are maintained

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience

- Demonstrated well developed stakeholder management skills and experience managing alliances across the organisation

- Broad experience in leading the implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality management systems in a diverse and energetic environment

- Demonstrated experience in scheduling, conducting, reporting, and monitoring quality systems audits and the review and implementation of improvement initiatives

- Shortlisted candidates will have full availability to travel throughout the region, and commit to an initial 8-week contract
