About Us:

Burbank Bush Kindy is a unique early childhood setting immersed in nature. We believe children thrive when they are connected to the natural world, given space to explore, and supported by warm, responsive educators. Our small, nurturing service is set in a bushland environment and guided by the principles of nature pedagogy, forest school philosophy and play-based learning.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate, reliable, and nurturing Educator to be a responsible person and support to Lead Educators in delivering high-quality, child-led programs that honour curiosity, creativity, and connection to nature. This is a hands-on role that requires, reliability, energy, team work and a genuine love of working with children in a natural environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Take a leadership role in the day-to-day running of the service, helping ensure smooth daily operations.

- Support, guide and lead educators to deliver our nature-based, play-rich program.

- Promote positive communication, teamwork and collaboration across the team.

- Support children’s safety, wellbeing and development across all domains.

- Build respectful, responsive relationships with children and families.

- Foster a calm, joyful and inclusive atmosphere.

- Oversee daily routines, transitions, supervision and the overall flow of the day.

- Contribute to maintaining a safe,



clean and engaging natural environment.

- Lead by example and support educators to carry out their roles confidently and effectively.

Essential Requirements

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working toward).

- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain).

- Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and relevant National Regulations and Laws.

- Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to take initiative, manage daily responsibilities and support a team.

- Comfortable working outdoors in a natural setting every day.

Desirable Qualities

- Experience in or passion for nature play, bush kindy or outdoor education.

- A warm, calm and responsive approach to behaviour guidance.

- Confidence in guiding educators and supporting daily decision-making.

- Robust organisational skills and a proactive, responsible approach.

- Ability to follow children’s interests and work collaboratively.
