We are looking for a reliable and experienced HR or HC Truck Driver to join our growing team. The role will primarily involve truck driving and deliveries across metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia, with a mix of yard duties at our Kardinya facility when required. Applicants must be competent and confident driving manual trucks. This is not a driving-only position. When you are not on the road, you will work alongside our yard and operations team to assist with receiving, sorting, consolidating and preparing plants for upcoming deliveries. The position would suit someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable with physical work and is happy to be part of a team rather than simply driving from point A to point B.
Key responsibilities
- Drive manual company trucks for metropolitan and regional deliveries throughout Western Australia
- Complete deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and on schedule
- Load and unload plant trolleys, pallets and other freight
- Ensure loads are appropriately secured before departure
- Complete relevant delivery paperwork and communicate with the operations team throughout each run
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and skilled condition
- Assist with receiving and unloading plants from growers and suppliers when required
- Sort and consolidate plants by customer, delivery route and destination
About you
- A current Manual HR or HC driver's licence
- Previous truck-driving experience
- A good driving record and strong commitment to road safety
- Confidence loading, unloading and securing freight
- Good communication and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently while on the road and as part of a team in the yard
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- The physical ability to undertake hands-on yard duties and move plant trolleys
