Your Opportunity
Support people in recovery to build independence, wellbeing, and meaningful community connections through Mission Australia's HASI Plus program in Eastwood, NSW. HASI Plus is a supported accommodation service providing high intensity clinical and psychosocial support to people living with severe or persistent mental illness, helping them strengthen daily living skills, improve health outcomes, maintain stable housing, and work towards their personal recovery goals.

As a Residential Recovery Worker, you will provide person centred support within a recovery focused framework, empowering residents to build confidence, increase independence, and actively participate in their community. Working closely with clinical partners, support networks, and internal teams, you will play an important role in creating positive outcomes for people navigating complex mental health challenges. This is an on-site position operating across a 24/7 roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

This is a maximum term chance through to 30 June 2027, offering the chance to make a genuine difference every day by supporting residents with daily living activities, case management, community engagement, and transition planning in a safe and supportive residential environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:
· Provide person centred support with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, accessing public transport, attending appointments, and building independent living skills.
· Deliver recovery focused case management and support residents to work towards goals identified in their individual support plans.




· Complete intake, registration, assessment, and referral processes while maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
· Support medication management processes, including medication administration support and related record keeping in line with organisational requirements.
· Develop and review holistic, strengths based individual support plans that promote recovery, wellbeing, and independence.
· Assist residents with transition planning, helping them move into independent living or access other appropriate services and supports.
· Build and maintain effective partnerships with clinical teams, NDIS providers, community organisations, and other stakeholder groups to achieve positive client outcomes.

Requirements for Success
· A degree in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field, or a minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health, or similar.
· Experience working in mental health, community services, homelessness, aged care, alcohol and other drug services, or similar support environments.
· Sound understanding of recovery oriented practice and a commitment to supporting people to achieve goals through a strengths based approach.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, rapport, and positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
· Resilience, patience, and confidence working alongside people experiencing complex and changing mental health challenges.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain strong professional boundaries, manage competing priorities, and complete administrative requirements accurately.
· Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster including overnight, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
· First Aid & CPR certificate.
· Full driver licence with no restrictions.
