A global mining company has engaged CareerMode to recruit a Finance Manager to join its Brisbane office. The role
- Overseeing month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making
- Monitoring financial performance against budgets, forecasts and key business objectives
- Maintaining strong financial controls, governance and compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Partnering with operational and corporate stakeholders to support business performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes,
systems and reporting efficiencies
- Supporting audit requirements and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
About you
- CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline
- Background in mining, resources, energy or another asset-heavy industry (highly regarded)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in a multinational or listed workplace
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence non-financial stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and strong systems experience
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers into clear commercial recommendations
