Role Description:
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking experienced and talented Software Engineers to join our team, based in Edinburgh Parks South Australia & Melbourne Central - Victoria with adaptable work arrangements available.
As a Software Engineer, you will bring with you demonstrated previous skills and experience in the development of specialised software systems for our international customers.
You'll contribute to the development of advanced and specialised software solutions that support leading-edge Defence and technology programs. Working within our HF Exports team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of technical disciplines, including user experience (UX) development, software design, systems architecture, and signal processing.

Core Duties:
- Perform software development and project delivery activities as directed by the Software Team Lead
- Actively contribute to all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, supporting continuous improvement and effective team collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with team members to achieve sprint objectives, demonstrating initiative, ownership, accountability, and a strong commitment to team success.
- Participate in integration, testing and deployment activities.
Key Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong practical experience developing software in C/C++ within Linux-based environments
- Proven expertise in containerisation technologies e.g. Docker/Kubernetes
- Exposure to modern software technologies including Qt, Python, web application development, GPU programming, DDS and OpenGL desirable
- Knowledge of radar systems and technologies is advantageous, with specific experience in Over the Horizon Radar (OTHR) solutions highly regarded
- Experience working in Agile teams highly regarded
- Familiarity with Configuration and Change Management principles and tools, such as Git
