About the role
We are seeking a motivated, organised and clinically competent Registered Nurse to join our care team. This role combines hands-on nursing care with responsibility for maintaining accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical assessments, care plans and documentation. The successful applicant will have strong clinical assessment skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage clinical responsibilities while ensuring documentation reflects the individual needs, preferences, risks and care outcomes of older persons. You will work closely with the Care Manager, nursing team, care staff, medical practitioners and allied health professionals to support safe, coordinated and evidence-based care.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred nursing care
- Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and identify changes in health status
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies
- Assess and manage wounds, pain, continence, nutrition, falls risks and other clinical care needs
- Recognise and respond promptly to clinical deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately
- Coordinate care with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, older persons and their representatives
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance and support to enrolled nurses and care staff
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical documentation
- Develop, review and update individualised care plans
- Promote safe clinical practices and professional accountability
About you
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, without restrictions incompatible with the role
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and nursing care skills
- Strong clinical documentation and care planning capabilities
- Sound medication management and clinical risk assessment skills
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing clinical priorities and complete documentation within required timeframes
- Sound understanding of professional nursing standards and responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to dignity, respectful care and safeguarding older persons
- Ability to satisfy applicable aged care worker screening requirements

Our residential aged care facility accommodates 40 older persons across five houses.
