About the role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our flagship Rosebery store, House of Rec.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of one of Sydney's most unique running retail spaces, leading a passionate team and helping us deliver an exceptional experience for runners of all abilities.

You'll be responsible for the overall performance of the store, from driving sales and developing your team to managing stock, maintaining store standards and supporting the events and community activations that make House of Rec such a special place.

What you'll be doing

- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing retail team through coaching, training and ongoing feedback.

- Take ownership of store performance, including sales targets, conversion, average transaction value and labour costs.

- Manage staff rostering, recruitment, onboarding and performance development.

- Oversee daily store operations, including stock management, replenishment, inventory accuracy and loss prevention.

- Work closely with our buying and leadership teams to maximise product performance and identify opportunities.

- Maintain exceptional standards of visual merchandising, store presentation and customer service.

- Create a welcoming environment for everyone, from first-time runners to experienced athletes.

- Ensure the store operates safely and in line with company policies and WHS requirements.

- Play an active role in bringing our community to life through run clubs, events, product launches and brand activations.

About you

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys leading people, takes pride in running a great retail operation and understands the importance of creating an outstanding customer experience.

Ideally, you'll bring:





- Previous experience in retail management, with a proven ability to lead and develop a team.

- Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing sales targets, budgets and operational KPIs.

- Experience with rostering, inventory management and retail systems.

- Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.

- A genuine passion for customer service and building a positive team culture.

- An interest in running, sport or an active lifestyle is a bonus, but certainly not essential.
