This is a position in the beekeeping industry that allows you to work outdoors. This can be a physically demanding role and candidates must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job. The role also requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a team and solo and recognition of safety in the workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Regularly inspect hives for health and cleanliness
- Extract honey from hives, which involves removing honeycomb frames, processing honey
- Move hives to current locations around Tasmania
- Undertake work in the production facility to package honey products
- Assist with the maintenance of beekeeping equipment
About you
- Beekeeping experience is an advantage but a training pathway to the obtainment of a recognised qualification is provided
- A truck license is an advantage
- A current Medium Rigid Truck or Heavy Rigid License with experience is an advantage but not essential and additional remuneration for this skill will be afforded to successful applicants.
