About the Role & Responsibilities:

As an Electrotechnology Lecturer, you’ll play a key role in developing the skills, confidence and practical knowledge of future tradespeople.

- Deliver competency-based training and assessment in accordance with the VET Quality Framework, Electrotechnology Training Package requirements and industry standards.
- Facilitate flexible training across face-to-face, blended, workplace-based, external and online delivery modes.
- Conduct student entry assessments, workplace assessments and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to determine competency.
- Develop and maintain training resources aligned with training package requirements, industry standards and Quality Management System.
- Develop student learning plans and provide educational support, specialist assistance and versatile assessment strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Create an engaging learning environment that promotes student participation, independence and responsibility for learning.
- Provide high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with students, industry partners and internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with VET teams and industry groups,



sharing teaching expertise and providing leadership in specialist areas.
- Maintain accurate student records and complete administrative tasks, including scheduling, timetabling, subject coordination, progression tracking and graduation processes.
- Prepare and maintain classrooms, laboratories, training equipment and learning materials to support effective delivery.
- Plan and prioritise workloads, coordinate teaching activities and manage student and client interactions efficiently.
- Maintain current industry skills, vocational competency and knowledge of training packages, ASQA requirements, systems, policies and relevant legislative and compliance obligations.

About You:

You’re an experienced tradie who’s ready to make a difference.

- A trade qualification in Electrical and/or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
- Strong practical industry experience in your trade.
- A genuine passion for mentoring others and passing on your skills and knowledge.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), or the ability to obtain the qualification within an agreed timeframe. Course fees will be reimbursed upon successful completion.
- Experience providing workplace training or delivering education is advantageous.
- An unrestricted Electrical Workers Licence,



or the ability to obtain the relevant NT licence with the RTO’s support.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitively across culturally diverse environments.
- An understanding of workplace health and safety, equal opportunity and relevant compliance requirements.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- A commitment to the organisation’s values and the ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check and valid NT Working with Children clearance.
