Seeking applications for a Project Engineer for Asphalt works, for a maternity relief role based at Russell Vale. This role will be available until 30/4/2027 and requires you to work full time hours on a Monday to Friday basis. Whilst being based in-office at Russell Vale, you will be required to travel to multiple sites on a daily basis, depending on job/project requirements. A Department vehicle is supplied for all work-related travel.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering road infrastructure and/or maintenance projects in order to achieve road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the project and delivery process including the delivery of contract works to ensure nominated road infrastructure and/or maintenance projects are developed and delivered to agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements

- Manage the investigation and design process by developing project briefs and cost estimates, procuring and overseeing service providers, and monitoring and reviewing ongoing work programs to make effective use of resources and deliver agreed objectives





- Prepare contract documents for road works projects including technical specifications to engage, administer and deliver contract works and ensure efficient project delivery

- Communicate, consult and collaborate with customers, colleagues, stakeholders and partners and maintain positive working relationships to influence and drive agreed outcomes on projects and contracts

- Implement appropriate procedures, guidelines, processes and practices, in collaboration with TfNSW specialists, to deliver a high level of workplace health and safety and environmental management on projects and contracts

About you

- Civil Engineering Bachelors - MANDATORY

- Minimum Car Licence

- White Card - MANDATORY

- WOF - MANDATORY prior to starting (link to online course can be provided as part of employment onboarding for the successful candidate)

- Traffic control ticket, willingness to obtain

- Asphalt background - Highly desired

- Local government experience or state government experience - Highly desired
