Equal Threads is the social enterprise of State Schools’ Relief, providing quality, affordable uniforms to schools and businesses. We combine a strong customer and commercial focus with a explicit social purpose. Funds generated through Equal Threads are reinvested into State Schools' Relief programs that assist students experiencing barriers to education.

State Schools Relief is a Victorian charity dedicated to supporting students attending government schools. Each year, we provide students experiencing disadvantage with school uniforms, shoes and other essential educational items. Our work helps students feel included, confident and ready to learn by removing barriers to participation. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to attend school with dignity, confidence and a sense of belonging.

Key responsibilities

- Support the Business Development Manager with customer accounts, prospecting, quotations, renewals, proposals and sales activities.

- Build strong relationships with existing customers while researching prospective schools, coordinating follow-ups and scheduling new business meetings.

- Support new customer onboarding, account reviews, forecasting and Back-to-School planning, while maintaining accurate customer, account and sales pipeline information.

- Coordinate customer requirements across internal teams and proactively follow actions through to resolution to deliver an excellent customer experience.

- Support e-commerce workflows and assist with sales, e-commerce and marketing reporting to identify trends and opportunities.

- Contribute to business growth through account growth opportunities, sales initiatives, school events,



Pop-Up Shops, promotional activities and other customer-facing initiatives.

About you

You’ll also be someone who:

- Is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

- Communicates confidently, warmly and professionally with customers and colleagues.

- Takes ownership, pays attention to detail and follows tasks through to completion.

- Is naturally curious, enjoys researching opportunities and contributes ideas that support customer engagement and business growth.

- Works collaboratively across teams and brings a positive, customer-focused approach to working with customers and colleagues.

- Has an interest in account management, sales, e-commerce and business development, and is confident learning and using digital systems.

Experience

Experience in customer service, account coordination, sales support, e-commerce, retail or another customer-facing role would be highly regarded.

Experience using Shopify, including e-commerce administration and analytics, and/or Power BI for reporting and data analysis would be highly desirable.

Experience in school uniforms, apparel, education or a product-based environment would also be advantageous.
