Due to continued expansion, Sentinel Aviation’s Fire & Rescue division is inviting expressions of interest from qualified Firefighters and Emergency Services Officers (ESOs) across Australia for potential opportunities in defence, government, resources, aviation and helicopter search and rescue (SAR) operations.

About the opportunities

Successful applicants may support firefighting and emergency response operations across a range of locations and environments.

Specific duties, locations, rosters and employment arrangements will be discussed with shortlisted applicants as opportunities arise.

- Approximately $70–$100 per hour, depending on the role, experience and operational requirements.

- Travel and accommodation included.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must:

- Be an Australian citizen.

- Be personable and a team player

- Hold a minimum Heavy Rigid (MR) vehicle drivers licence

- Hold PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations); or PUA30619 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) — the superseded qualification is also accepted.

Desirable:





- Experience in state-based fire services and/or Aviation fire fighting.

- Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle drivers licence

Only applicants who meet all minimum requirements will be considered.

Government and client requirements

Appointments will be subject to applicable government, regulatory and client requirements for each role. These may include identity and qualification verification, employment and reference checks, national police checks, and site access approvals.

For positions requiring an Australian Government security clearance, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required clearance, with sponsorship arranged through the relevant authorised entity. Specific screening and clearance requirements will be confirmed during recruitment.
