Your opportunity
Are you passionate about using your own lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery to inspire hope, build connections, and support others on their recovery journey?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lived Experience Recovery Case Worker to join our Community Living Support (CLS) team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with their own lived experience of mental illness and recovery to use that experience, alongside professional skills and recovery-oriented practice, to empower others to build independence, achieve personal goals, and live fulfilling lives within their communities.
Our Community Living Support Program provides psychosocial recovery-focused support to people living with severe mental illness. We help participants develop the skills, confidence, and community connections they need to live independently and lead meaningful lives.
As a Lived Experience Recovery Case Worker, you will draw on your personal recovery journey in a safe, purposeful, and professional way to foster hope, promote self-determination, and support participants to achieve their recovery goals. Working from a strengths-based, person-centred approach, you will provide psychosocial support that promotes independence, wellbeing, social inclusion, and personal growth
Rather than doing things for participants, you will mentor, coach, and walk alongside them as they develop the skills and confidence to manage daily life, strengthen community connections, and pursue their own vision of recovery. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, clinical teams, and community services to create stability, improve quality of life,

and support sustainable recovery outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Support participants to strengthen independent living skills and confidence.
- Deliver psychoeducation and recovery-focused skill development.
- Support participants to access and navigate community, health, housing, employment, and social support services.
- Foster social inclusion and meaningful community participation.
- Maintain effective communication with families, carers, clinical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Identify risks and implement appropriate responses in line with organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation.
- Advocate for participant choice, self-determination, dignity, and inclusion.
