About the Role Working closely with the HR Manager and wider team, you’ll provide essential coordination and operational support across key HR activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, reference checks and pre-employment checks.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies and proactively engage potential candidates.
- Coordinate interviews, manage applications and maintain accurate recruitment records.
- Ensure candidates receive timely, professional and personable communication throughout the recruitment process.
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
- Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate new starter inductions, orientations and internal onboarding requirements.
- Monitor probation periods and coordinate three-month check-ins.
- Prepare and process HR documentation relating to employment variations, performance, resignations and employee exits.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and information within the HRIS.
- Review and maintain position descriptions and support WGEA reporting requirements.
- Assist with employee leave records and ensure information is accurately maintained ahead of payroll processing.
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and processes.
- Work with the HR team to support compliance with relevant legislation,
regulations and company policies.
People, Culture & Engagement
- Coordinate training, professional development and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with employee surveys, feedback and reporting.
- Support employer branding and talent attraction activities.
- Assist with online uniform ordering and provide reception coverage when required.
About You You’re a people-focused HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality work. You’re comfortable handling confidential information and understand the importance of accuracy, discretion and professionalism.
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
- 2–3 years’ experience in an HR support or coordination role.
- A qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or be currently studying (highly regarded).
- An understanding of Fair Work, the National Employment Standards (NES) and industrial relations requirements.
- Experience using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, adaptable and positive approach, with a genuine passion for supporting people.
- The ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and professionalism.
