About the role

Every course we deliver has to meet ASQA standards and funding requirements, and someone needs to make sure it does. That's this role.

As our Funding and Compliance Officer, you will keep our RTO on track across the Training Services portfolio. You'll work closely with trainers and assessors, making sure fees, claims, payments and learner progress line up with funding requirements. You'll also keep our records, marketing materials and training products compliant and current. When something doesn't match procedure, you'll find out why and help fix it.

You'll report to the Training Manager, Capability, and support a diverse delivery team who rely on you to make compliance practical rather than painful.

What you'll be doing

- Monitoring and reporting on RTO requirements against ASQA and other standards

- Managing fees, funding, claims and payments, and coordinating trainers and assessors to meet funding requirements

- Keeping student records accurate in our database and records management systems

- Reviewing RTO marketing materials, online and printed, for compliance

- Working with industry partners to validate training and assessment materials

- Helping build a culture of validation and continuous improvement across our training packages

- Watching for regulatory changes and making sure our documents and processes are updated and embedded

- Guiding and coaching less experienced team members

What you'll bring

- At least 2 years' experience in a coordination role within an RTO

- Participation in an ASQA compliance audit within the last 2 years

- A VET Certificate IV in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge and experience

- Solid knowledge of RTO compliance requirements and a positive understanding of a range of training packages

- Strong experience with student database and records management systems, and confidence using spreadsheets and other software

- Experience managing funding, claims and learner performance data





- Good relationship skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, from trainers to external partners

- A practical, problem-solving approach, and the initiative to improve how things are done

- The ability to manage your own workload and hit your KPIs without close supervision
