We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to provide daily support to our residents at the Bethanie Support Service Office in West Perth.
This role is offered on a full-time Basis, 38 hours per week.
The Role
- Leading the month-end and balance sheet reconciliation processes, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Preparing and reviewing annual financial statements, audit working papers and technical position papers, and coordinating the external audit process.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including statutory, regulatory, prudential and tax reporting.
- Providing technical accounting expertise and advice across complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and monitoring liquidity, investments, debt and covenant requirements to support effective treasury management.
- Providing technical guidance, coaching and review across the financial accounting team.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the continuous improvement of Bethanie’s Financial Control Framework, policies and procedures.
- Contributing to improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting.
About You
- Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting,
with CA, CPA or equivalent qualified qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience, with strong technical accounting, financial reporting, analytical and problem-solving capability.
- A confident communicator with strong organisational skills, able to manage prioritises, coach and support team members and work collaboratively across the business.
- Current Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one, is required
- Aged care or community care experience is highly regarded.
