Host Employer:
Maxima, and our Host Employer, City of Salisbury, are looking for a motivated individual to join their City Development team as the Planning Services Trainee. This opportunity is working full-time, Monday to Friday, undertaking a 24-month traineeship while studying a Diploma of Local Government - Planning, qualification.

Duties Include:

- Provide information and guidance to customers regarding development application processes, requirements and procedures
- Respond to/ refer, customer enquiries relating to planning, building and development matters
- Review and prepare documentation relating to development processes
- Maintain accurate records and information within Council business systems
- Provide high-quality customer service through face-to-face, telephone and written communication

About You:

- Valuable communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Display initiative and a hardworking attitude




- Ability to prioritise tasks and juggle various deadlines
- Strong customer service focus mindset
- Hold valid driver's licence

Role Requirements:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications and confident in operating technology
- Hold a National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
- Follow and demonstrate the Council's organisational values
- Uphold high ethical standards when handling confidential and sensitive information and records
- Have understanding of Local Government functions and responsibilities (desirable)
