The Opportunity

Schneider Electric’s Digital Energy Business is helping customers transform how they manage and operate their buildings, using digital technologies to drive greater efficiency and sustainability across the full asset lifecycle.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect to join our Digital Energy Business, specialising in buildings solutions. This influential role will work with customers to shape the digitalisation of their building portfolios, defining smart building solutions that respond to real-world business challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes.

Reporting to the Systems Sales Leader, this role can be based flexibly across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Schneider Locations.

As a champion of innovation and IT/OT convergence, you will influence and support customers on their digital transformation journey, helping modernise and optimise their building portfolios.

You will lead customer workshops to identify and capture business needs, define IT/OT reference architectures, and develop solutions encompassing data strategy, integration, interoperability, and analytics. Most importantly, you will articulate the business value of these solutions to help customers achieve their objectives.

Responsibilities

Drive Digital Transformation with Strategic Customers

- Establish Schneider Electric as a trusted advisor and thought leader in digital transformation.
- Build strong relationships with strategic customers through IT/OT convergence expertise.
- Position Schneider Electric’s digital solutions, leveraging data platforms, software applications, and analytics.
- Support complex opportunities by leading solution design using an architectural rather than product-led approach.
- Facilitate technical workshops and customer engagement activities, including pilots, proof-of-concepts, and solution evaluations.
- Collaborate with business development managers and subject matter experts to deliver successful customer outcomes.

Develop IT/OT Convergence Architectures

- Design scalable IT/OT architectures based on customer requirements, use cases, and project specifications.
- Create clear solution architectures that address current and future customer needs.
- Working with our team of system architects develop reusable reference architectures, engineering standards, and supporting technical documentation.

Generate New Business Through Expertise & Innovation

- Identify emerging customer challenges and develop innovative solution opportunities.
- Support pipeline growth by providing technical guidance and recommendations to segment leaders.
- Enable Business Development Managers through coaching, solution expertise, and sales support.
- Test, validate,



and commercialise new ideas with customers, helping scale successful solutions across the business.

Requirements

- Customer-centric mindset with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience developing systems including BMS, Security for complex buildings.
- Sound knowledge of networking principles and network design.
- Experience influencing specifications and embedding software requirements into projects.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organisational functions.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Confident communicator capable of leading customer-facing workshops.
- Self-driven with a hands-on approach and passion for delivering outcomes.
