Wagner Corporation is seeking a reliable and hands-on Sewage Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at Wellcamp Business Park.
This part-time role will support the safe, reliable and compliant operation of our Sewage Treatment Plant, with responsibility for routine monitoring, testing, basic maintenance and ensuring the plant continues to operate effectively.
About the Role
Working approximately 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and monitoring sewage treatment plant equipment and processes.
- Conducting routine inspections of pumps, tanks, aeration, dosing systems and associated equipment.
- Monitoring plant performance, alarms and treatment processes.
- Collecting samples and undertaking routine testing.
- Maintaining accurate plant logs, operational records and test results.
- Monitoring chemical and consumable levels.
- Undertaking basic preventative maintenance and reporting faults or breakdowns.
- Assisting with sludge management and disposal activities as required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly plant environment.
- Promptly reporting operational,
environmental and safety issues.
About You
You will be a reliable, practical and safety-conscious person who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the plant.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in sewage/wastewater treatment, water treatment, industrial plant operations or a similar setting.
- A practical and mechanically minded approach.
- Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to identify and report faults or abnormal operating conditions.
- A strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
Relevant qualifications, licences or experience operating treatment plant equipment will be highly regarded.
