As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area.

About the Role

We are looking for a capable, motivated and experienced Civil Supervisor who can confidently manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate personnel and plant, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to someone with a strong civil construction background who understands the practical challenges of working on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing crews undertaking drainage installations, underground services, earthworks and general civil construction activities.

You will work closely with company management, clients, subcontractors and site personnel to maintain productivity, manage resources and ensure project requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Operations

- Oversee daily civil construction activities across Perth Metro projects.

- Supervise and coordinate operators, drainers, labourers and subcontractors.

- Plan daily works, allocate resources and manage site productivity.

- Coordinate plant, equipment, materials and personnel to meet project requirements.

- Monitor project progress against construction programs and deadlines.

- Identify potential delays, site constraints and operational issues, implementing practical solutions.

- Maintain effective communication with clients, project managers and company management.

Civil Construction & Technical Delivery

- Supervise drainage installations, stormwater infrastructure and underground services.

- Oversee trenching, excavation, backfilling, compaction and associated earthworks.

- Interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.





- Ensure works are completed to design requirements, specifications and quality standards.

- Coordinate inspections, testing and quality assurance requirements.

- Identify variations, additional works and potential project risks.

- Ensure appropriate protection and management of existing underground services.

Safety & Compliance

- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all site activities.

- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, client requirements and applicable WHS legislation.

- Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and site safety inspections.

- Ensure SWMS, permits, risk assessments and relevant documentation are completed and implemented.

- Identify and address hazards, unsafe practices and non-conformances.

- Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions where required.

- Ensure personnel hold the necessary competencies, licences and site inductions.

Team Leadership

- Lead by example and maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism.

- Provide clear direction to site personnel and subcontractors.

- Monitor crew performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity.

- Support the development and mentoring of less experienced personnel.

- Maintain a positive and accountable site environment.

About You

We are seeking someone who has progressed through the civil construction industry and understands what it takes to deliver works efficiently in a live construction environment.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated experience supervising civil construction projects.

- Robust background in drainage, underground services and associated civil works.

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

- Proven experience coordinating civil crews, plant and subcontractors.

- Strong understanding of excavation, trenching, backfilling and compaction processes.





- Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.

- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity and quality.

- Construction White Card.

- Current Australian driver's licence.

- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of site operations.

Highly Regarded

- Previous hands-on experience as a drainer, excavator operator or civil leading hand.

- Experience delivering projects for Tier 1 contractors.

- Experience working around live underground services and existing infrastructure.

- Experience with quality assurance documentation, ITPs and construction records.

- Relevant supervisory qualifications or training.

- Excavator, loader or other relevant plant operating competencies.

- Experience with GPS-guided excavation and survey equipment.
