Boggabri Coal Mine (BCO) is an open-cut coal operation producing in excess of 7 million tonnes per annum, with a mine life extending through until 2036. BCO is located approximately 68km from Narrabri, 53km from Gunnedah and 20km from Boggabri, offering a great opportunity to enjoy a unique country lifestyle.
How you will contribute:
- Lead Operational Technology (OT) systems across the CHPP, including PLCs, SCADA, networks and field devices.
- Drive plant reliability, continuous improvement, defect elimination and technical optimisation across CHPP and MIA assets.
- Lead technology, automation, digitalisation and improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
- Use data analysis to identify performance opportunities and improve operational decision-making.
- Maintain OT governance, technical standards, documentation, configuration control and change management.
- Support compliance, technical assurance, audits, critical controls and risk management.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, HST, IT and external vendors.

What we're looking for:
You are a technically strong and collaborative engineer who enjoys improving plant reliability, technology and operational performance.
- Mechanical, Electrical,
Automation or Engineering qualification.
- Significant experience within CHPP or fixed plant operations and maintenance.
- Robust understanding of Operational Technology systems, including PLC and SCADA environments.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Experience in reliability engineering, root cause analysis or defect elimination will be highly regarded.
- Experience with industrial networking, cybersecurity, SAP/CMMS or automation/digital transformation will be advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
