About the role

We are seeking a motivated Site / Project Engineer with at least three years’ construction experience to join our growing team.

Working closely with the Construction Manager, company management, site supervisors and clients, you will help plan, coordinate and deliver projects from tender stage through to completion.

The role combines site-based project management, estimating and commercial responsibilities. Unlike a traditional site engineering role, you will have exposure to the full project lifecycle, including estimating, procurement, construction delivery, cost control, variations, progress claims and project close-out.

The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of assigned projects, identify issues early and work with the project team to develop practical solutions.

Key responsibilities





- Plan and coordinate construction activities with site supervisors to meet project requirements and construction programs.

- Take ownership of allocated projects from planning through to completion.

- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project progress, upcoming works and any issues requiring resolution.

- Review drawings, specifications and scope documents, identify issues, discrepancies, risks and constructability issues.

- Assist with estimating, quantity take-offs, quotations and tender submissions.

- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts and progress reports.

- Monitor project costs, cost-to-complete and forecasts.

- Prepare and track project costs, variations and progress claims.

- Coordinate procurement of materials, subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with project requirements and programs.

- Coordinate project quality requirements, including ITP’s, inspections, testing, NCR’s and handover documentation.

- Maintain accurate project documentation, registers, correspondence and records.

- Support site safety requirements and work with supervisors to ensure works are planned and delivered safely.

- Provide practical engineering and constructability advice to site teams.

- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.

About you

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

- At least three years’ experience as a Site or Project Engineer in construction.

- Experience in civil infrastructure or structural concrete works; formwork,



reinforcement and concrete placement experience will be highly regarded.

- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical requirements.

- Understanding of construction programming, project cost control, quality assurance and WHS requirements.

- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with variations, progress claims and project documentation.

- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.

- A practical approach, initiative and willingness to work closely with site supervisors and site crews.

- Ability to identify problems early and take ownership of finding practical solutions.

- Willingness and ability to work away from home when required.
