Social Volunteering Role – Community Visit Volunteer
Enjoy a meaningful chat over a cuppa with a lovely elderly lady living independently in her retirement village home in Thirlmere. She enjoys listening to country music, completing puzzles, and sharing stories from her life. This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys listening, values connection, and can bring warmth, patience, and engaging conversation to regular visits. Sometimes the simplest chats can make the biggest difference.
Preferred visit times: between 10:00am–2:00pm on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring excellent joy to the client you are matched with.
