FULL TIME role being offered as Content & Social Media Specialist, responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering content for Sadaqa Welfare Fund (SWF), its subsidiaries and other businesses directly or indirectly associated with SWF or its owners/directors.
The role will align content, brand messaging and campaign activities across these entities to strengthen brand awareness, engage audiences and maximise campaign impact. Responsibilities include content planning and review, managing content calendars, organic social media campaigns, coordinating with creative teams and monitoring and reporting on performance.
The role requires a self-starter with a can-do attitude. The position requires proficiency in managing paid and organic campaign across various social media channels, including digital marketing tools and platforms. This is a fully office-based role and does not offer any remote or hybrid working options.
Key responsibilities
1. Content and Campaign Planning
- Develop and implement content plans aligned with organisational objectives, humanitarian campaigns, audience needs and brand guidelines.
- Maintain a central content calendar covering ongoing campaigns, daily communications and key events.
- Contribute creative campaign ideas informed by industry trends, audience research and content marketing practices.
- Develop audience profiles and segmentation to improve content relevance and campaign targeting.
2. Content Development
- Write, review, proofread and improve copy for social media, websites, email campaigns and selected print materials.
- Ensure content is accurate,
culturally appropriate and consistent with organisational policies, brand identity and tone of voice.
- Coordinate with designers, videographers and relevant stakeholders to produce engaging graphics, videos and other campaign assets.
- Gather project information and stories from internal teams to support campaign messaging, organisational updates and thought leadership.
- Oversee content revisions and maintain organised, accessible content records and assets.
3. Social Media
- Manage organic and paid social media content, including scheduling, publishing and campaign delivery.
- Maintain a consistent brand presence across all social media platforms.
- Publish engaging content tailored to each platform and target audience.
- Manage community engagement on Facebook, Instagram and other relevant channels.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to improve engagement, content distribution and reach.
4. Workflow Coordination
- Coordinate daily priorities, content production schedules, approvals and delivery deadlines across the marketing, design, video and social media teams.
- Track tasks, workload and campaign progress using the organisation’s project management system.
- Follow up on outstanding work and resolve delivery issues with the relevant teams.
- Support event-related marketing and event coordination as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least five years’ relevant experience in content management, social media marketing, digital marketing or a similar role.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience planning and delivering organic and paid campaigns, including budgeting and performance measurement.
- Solid copywriting, proofreading and written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in content creation, design coordination, video production workflows and email marketing.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Confidence using digital marketing platforms, analytics tools and creative software such as Adobe, Canva or Figma.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity when communicating with diverse audiences.
- A proactive, creative approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Relevant certifications in social media marketing, SEO or digital marketing.
- Experience in the charity, humanitarian or a similar sector.
- Knowledge of audience personas, media planning, influencer marketing and content distribution strategies.
- Experience creating analytics dashboards.
- Understanding of user experience principles and website design best practices.
