About the role

Reporting to the business owner, you will manage the store's day-to-day operations, supervise the team and maintain consistent standards of food quality, customer service and workplace safety. This is a hands-on management role in a busy food service environment.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, organise and oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise kitchen and counter staff, allocate duties and coordinate service during busy periods.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing levels to meet customer demand and operating budgets.
- Recruit, train and support team members, monitor performance and communicate workplace procedures.
- Oversee food preparation, portion control, presentation and order accuracy to maintain consistent standards.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, check deliveries and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Monitor sales, labour costs and food costs, and report store performance to the owner.
- Manage point-of-sale procedures, cash handling and daily reconciliation.




- Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleaning and work health and safety procedures and records.

About you

- Previous management or supervisory experience in a fast food, takeaway or similar food service business.
- Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate service in a busy setting.
- Experience with staff rostering, stock control, ordering and cash handling.
- Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety practices.
- Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to monitor operating costs and maintain product and service standards.
- Availability to work a roster that includes early starts, evenings and weekends as required.
- Relevant hospitality or management qualifications are desirable.
