An incredible opportunity has opened up with a fast-growing Australian retail brand for an experienced Senior Designer to take ownership across Menswear & Unisex.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a designer who loves creating commercial, trend-led product with a technical and functional edge. You’ll have genuine influence across the category, working from initial concept and range direction right through to product development, fit and final execution.

Ideally, you’ll bring experience within lifestyle, activewear, performance, sportswear or technical apparel, however we’re equally open to hearing from brilliant menswear designers from broader fashion backgrounds who have a strong product eye and understanding of their customer.

What you’ll be doing:

- Taking ownership across the design and development of Menswear & Unisex ranges
- Translating trends, customer insights and creative direction into commercial product that feels relevant and exciting
- Designing across the full journey from initial concepts, sketches and CADs through to technical specifications and final product
- Exploring fabrications, trims, construction and finishes, with a focus on quality, performance and functionality
- Reviewing samples and fits, refining product across aesthetic, comfort, construction and performance
- Working closely with Product Development and Merchandising to build cohesive, commercially strong ranges
- Collaborating across wider creative and product teams on colour, graphics, prints and seasonal direction
- Keeping close to global trends, competitors and innovation within menswear and performance apparel




- Bringing new ideas to the table and continually looking for opportunities to elevate and evolve the product
- Supporting and mentoring more junior designers within the wider team

What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience designing menswear and/or unisex apparel
- Ideally exposure to activewear, sportswear, performance or technical product, although broader fashion experience will absolutely be considered
- Strong capability across CAD, technical drawings and garment specifications
- A solid understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication and the manufacturing process
- A designer who can balance a strong creative eye with commercial thinking
- Experience working across the product lifecycle, from initial idea through to finished product
- Someone genuinely passionate about product, innovation, trends and the evolving menswear customer
- Confident collaborating cross-functionally and comfortable taking real ownership of a category
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior designers would be highly regarded
- Plenty of energy, curiosity and drive, with the ability to thrive within a fast-moving and evolving brand
