About the role

We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Health Talent Acquisition team in Newstead until October 2027. We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our collaborative, high-performing and fun in-house Talent Acquisition team based in Newstead.
We're seeking an experienced sourcing professional who brings deep healthcare talent networks and a proven ability to identify, engage and secure high-calibre candidates for critical clinical positions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, leveraging existing relationships, market intelligence and innovative sourcing strategies to help Mater address some of its most complex workforce challenges.
Working closely with Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning and operational leaders, you'll proactively build and nurture talent pipelines, uncover hidden talent and influence recruitment outcomes for some of our most critical roles.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and executing proactive sourcing strategies for critical clinical and priority workforce areas.
- Leveraging established networks, industry relationships and market intelligence to identify and engage high-calibre talent.
- Building, nurturing and maintaining talent pipelines and talent communities for hard-to-fill and future workforce needs.
- Conducting talent mapping, market research and competitor analysis to inform sourcing strategies and workforce planning.
- Engaging passive candidates through a range of creative sourcing channels and targeted approaches.
- Providing labour market insights and workforce intelligence to support recruitment and workforce decision-making.
- Partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning and operational leaders to deliver quality talent outcomes.
- Identifying and implementing innovative sourcing and attraction initiatives to strengthen Mater's talent acquisition capability and employer brand.
About you
You're an experienced sourcing or talent acquisition professional who thrives on identifying and engaging high-calibre talent in competitive markets. You bring a proactive and strategic approach to sourcing, leveraging established networks, market intelligence and innovative attraction strategies to connect exceptional candidates with critical workforce opportunities.
You have a proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with business leaders to solve complex workforce challenges. You're comfortable operating in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on delivering quality talent outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, recruitment, clinical talent attraction.
- Proven success identifying, engaging and securing high-calibre talent in competitive labour markets.
- Strong talent mapping, market research and candidate engagement capabilities.
- Experience building and maintaining talent pipelines and talent communities for critical or hard-to-fill roles.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to quickly establish credibility and make an immediate impact.
