Country Kids Early Learning & Kindergarten
Woongoolba
? About the role
Country Kids Woongoolba is looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team in a permanent part-time position, working two days per week.
This could be the perfect chance if you love teaching and working directly with children but are looking for a role that gives you greater balance outside of work.
You might be an experienced ECT wanting to step back from full-time hours, returning to the sector after some time away, balancing work with family or study, or simply looking for a small service where relationships and genuine connection with children are at the heart of what you do.
Our Woongoolba service is a close-knit, community-focused Kindergarten where educators have the opportunity to really know their children and families.
We're looking for an ECT who wants to become part of that community.
? What the role looks like
Working alongside our existing team, you will help deliver a high-quality Kindergarten program that reflects the interests, strengths and individual needs of our children.
This is a permanent part-time position of two days per week, giving you the security and belonging of a permanent role without needing to commit to a full working week.
As our ECT, you will:
- Create meaningful, engaging and play-based learning experiences
- Support the delivery of a high-quality Kindergarten program
- Build genuine relationships with children and their families
- Work collaboratively with our educators and service leadership
- Contribute to children's documentation, planning and assessment
- Support children's transitions and individual learning needs
- Create environments that encourage curiosity, independence, exploration and connection
- Actively supervise children and understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility
- Contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement
- Bring your ideas, knowledge and experience to our team
? About you
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Hold an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification, or are working towards an approved qualification and eligible to work as an ECT
- Hold a current Working with Children Blue Card
- Have a genuine passion for Early Childhood Education
- Believe children learn through play, relationships, exploration and meaningful experiences
- Value strong partnerships with families
- Understand the importance of child safety, active supervision and safeguarding
- Enjoy working collaboratively rather than in isolation
- Are reliable, positive and professional
- Want to contribute your ideas and be part of the ongoing growth of our service
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being with children and wants to make a positive difference in their early years.
? A little different from a big centre
Country Kids Woongoolba is a smaller service with a strong community feel.
For the right ECT, that means an opportunity to slow things down a little, build meaningful relationships and really know the children you're teaching.
We believe children deserve opportunities to experience genuine childhood – to play, explore, get outdoors, get messy, ask questions, build friendships and develop a strong sense of belonging.
And we want our educators to feel that same sense of belonging too.
? About Country Kids
Country Kids Woongoolba is part of the Country Kids Early Learning & Kindergarten family, where we believe in creating Early Learning with a Country Feel ?.
Our values of Positivity, Compassion, Professionalism, Working Together, Success and Sustainability guide how we work with our children, families and each other.
We're committed to creating services where educators are supported to continue learning, contribute their ideas and make a genuine difference.
? Why join Country Kids?
- Permanent part-time – just two days per week
- The security of permanent employment with genuine work-life balance
- A small, welcoming and community-focused Kindergarten
- Time to build meaningful relationships with children and families
- Work alongside an established and supportive team
- Opportunities for professional development and continued learning
- Be part of the ongoing growth and development of Country Kids Woongoolba
- A leadership team that values educator input and ideas
- The opportunity to make the Kindergarten program your own while still having the support of a wider team
If you've been thinking, “I'd love to keep teaching, but I don't want to work five days a week,” this might be exactly what you're looking for.
Come and join us at Country Kids Woongoolba and help us create Early Learning with a Country Feel. ??
