My client is an established aluminium supplier servicing the Australian building and construction industry. The business supplies a range of aluminium products to customers across the market and prides itself on quality products, reliable service and strong customer relationships.
An opportunity is now available for an experienced Internal Sales professional to join the Sydney team.
Role Description
This is more than answering phones and processing orders. My client is looking for someone who can build relationships, handle customer enquiries, prepare quotes and keep things running smoothly across the sales office.
You'll need a valuable attitude, strong attention to detail and the ability to get stuck into the day-to-day work. Someone who can manage their workload, solve problems and take ownership without waiting to be told what to do.
The role offers plenty of variety and will suit someone who enjoys dealing with customers, working across different systems and being part of a busy sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries by phone and email
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Prepare quotes and assist with product enquiries
- Process orders accurately and efficiently
- Follow up quotes and outstanding sales opportunities
- Liaise with sales, warehouse, operations and delivery teams
- Assist customers with product and technical questions
- Maintain accurate customer and order records
- Look for opportunities to grow existing customer accounts
- Support the wider sales team with daily tasks
- Provide prompt and reliable customer service
- Follow through on customer issues until they are resolved
Role Requirements
- Previous experience in internal sales, customer service or a similar position
- Confident communication and customer service skills
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- A practical approach to solving problems
- Willingness to learn the product range
- Experience in aluminium, building products or construction supply would be an advantage
Salary and Benefits
Base $70k-$75k | 12% Super
