About the client:

Our client is an established manufacturer based in Bayswater Vic. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Loader to join their Despatch team.

This is a hands-on role responsible for loading and unloading products, managing stock and incoming goods, preparing customer orders, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the despatch and yard areas.

Key Responsibilities:

•Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and other vehicles

•Load customer orders accurately according to delivery and pickup paperwork

•Receive and store incoming goods in designated areas

•Ensure products are handled and transported carefully to minimise damage

•Check delivery dockets and paperwork to ensure all goods are correctly dispatched

•Collect and submit signed paperwork to the office

•Assist with stocktakes and maintain appropriate stock levels

•Rotate stock using FIFO principles

•Maintain clean, organised and safe loading, receiving and yard areas

•Complete daily forklift pre-start and safety checks

•Follow all site traffic management, safety and housekeeping procedures

•Assist drivers with timely and complete deliveries and pickups

•Receive and manage recyclable materials as required

•Provide materials to the factory as required

•Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping duties





•Work closely with the Despatch Manager, logistics team, factory staff, drivers and office staff

•Report any safety concerns, incidents, delays or product issues promptly

About the Role:

•Forklift Loader / Despatch position

•Monday to Friday | Day Shift | 7AM - 3PM - $37/hr + Super

•Hands-on role combining forklift operation, despatch and manual handling

•Working both indoors and outdoors

•Fast-paced environment with regular truck and forklift movements

•Manual loading and unloading may be required

Is this you?

- Previous forklift operating experience in warehousing, manufacturing, logistics or despatch

- Valid LF Forklift Licence

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures

- Good attention to detail when checking orders and paperwork

- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and standing for extended periods

- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Solid communication, teamwork and instruction-following skills

- Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment with high forklift and truck traffic

- Committed to maintaining a clean and safe workplace
