Remuneration: $65,365–$84,666 + 12% Superannuation

We are currently seeking applications from cutting-edge and enthusiastic Teacher Assistants who can demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.

About the Role

The Teacher Assistants supports high-quality learning experiences by assisting teachers, guiding students and helping create an inclusive,



safe and engaging learning environment. This role suits a caring, adaptable and student-focused individual who enjoys working closely with children and supporting diverse learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

- Classroom support — Assist teachers in delivering learning programs.
- Student assistance — Support students individually or in groups across various learning areas.
- Intervention support — Provide individualised approaches, help identify learning needs and assist with progress evaluation.
- Inclusive learning — Support participation for students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Learning materials — Assist with preparing, organising and distributing resources.
- Technology support — Help students use ICT safely and responsibly.
- Routine assistance — Support students with timetables, lockers, homework and behaviour expectations.
- Personal care — Provide basic physical, social and emotional care; assist with meals, toileting and lifting when required.
- Excursion support — Assist students during excursions and special events.
- Monitoring & reporting — Communicate student progress, concerns and successes to teachers.




- Behaviour support — Support students in line with school guidelines.

Essential Requirements

- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
- Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC).
- Accreditation A: Accreditation to work in a Catholic school or willingness to work towards.

Desirable

- Certificate III in Education Support
- Experience related to specific support activity areas eg food technology, MDT, EAL, ATSI etc.
- Education sector experience
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Protective Handling Practices training
- Manual Handling training
