Caldermeade Farm is seeking a reliable, motivated and experienced Dairy Production Operator to join our manufacturing team.

We are an established Victorian dairy manufacturer producing a range of quality dairy products, including fresh milk, goat milk, cream, yoghurt, butter and gelato. Our products are supplied to major supermarkets, foodservice customers and other dairy businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing work, operating machinery and being part of a team focused on quality, safety and efficiency.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for operating dairy processing, filling and packaging equipment, assisting with daily production activities and ensuring products are manufactured to our quality and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operate dairy processing, filling and packaging machinery.

- Set up, monitor and assist with production line changeovers.

- Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, packaging supplies and finished goods.

- Pack, label and prepare finished products for storage and dispatch.

- Complete production records, quality checks and product traceability documentation.

- Follow food safety procedures, Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.

- Carry out equipment cleaning and sanitation in accordance with established procedures.

- Identify and report equipment faults, production issues and potential quality concerns.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised production environment.

- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily production schedules.

About You





We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy manufacturing environment.

To be successful, you will have:

- A current Australian Forklift licence highly desirable.

- Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing, preferably dairy.

- Experience operating production, filling or packaging machinery.

- Experience safely operating forklifts and handling palletised products.

- An understanding of food safety, GMP and HACCP principles.

- Good mechanical aptitude and confidence working with machinery.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

- A reliable approach to attendance, punctuality and workplace safety.

- The physical ability to undertake hands-on production duties, including manual handling.

Experience in dairy manufacturing, automated production equipment or cleaning and sanitation systems will be highly regarded.
