ABOUT THE POSITION:
As Associate Producer, Public Programs, you will support the development, coordination and delivery of public programs, events and digital experiences that engage Museums Victoria's diverse audiences. With a core focus on Melbourne Museum, you will help deliver excellent audience experiences while meeting organisational and partner objectives.
Some of the key duties include:
- Coordinate and deliver public programs, events and digital programs that meet audience, experience and business objectives.
- Liaise with artists, stakeholders, staff, technical teams and partners, and prepare permits, run sheets, event specifications and schedules.
- Present engaging programs for early years,
children, teens, families and adult audiences.
- Coordinate program schedules, timelines, financial administration, communications and reporting.
- Build strong stakeholder and partner relationships, review programs and implement improvements informed by audience needs.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience developing and delivering innovative public programs in the cultural sector, particularly for early years, children and family audiences.
- Knowledge of public program, event or festival planning and delivery, including logistics, technical requirements and occupational health and safety.
- Strong coordination skills, with the ability to manage staffing, resources, logistics, budgets and timelines.
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, communities, artists and partners.
- The ability to use data and audience insights to evaluate and improve programs and audience outcomes.
OTHER INFORMATION
This is a fixed-term, full-time position until 1 June 2027. The salary on offer is Grade 3, Value Range 1, base of grade $81,496 plus 12% superannuation.
