About New Porgera

Current Porgera Limited (NPL) is a company incorporated in Papua New Guinea and owns the Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province. NPL is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation, Zijin Mining, and the Papua New Guinea Government, combining global mining expertise with a shared commitment to responsible resource development and long-term value creation for Papua New Guinea.

The Porgera Gold Mine will employ nearly 3,000 Papua New Guineans at full production and, over its 30-year operating history, has contributed approximately 10% of Papua New Guinea's total annual exports, making it one of the country's most significant economic assets.

About the role

We are seeking Loader Operators to join our Underground Mining team. In this role, you will lead, coach, and train the underground team to ensure safe, efficient operations while achieving production targets. Responsibilities include developing and implementing safe work practices, operating underground loaders for decline, sump, and stockpile bogging, and safely loading underground haul trucks. You will also support other underground operations, promote a strong safety culture, and provide training and upskilling for the national workforce. Experience with remote loader systems is highly advantageous.

About you

As a Loader Operator - Underground you will provide leadership,



direction, and training to the underground mining team to ensure safe, efficient operations and achievement of production targets. Support the development of safe work practices, perform underground loader tasks including decline, sump, and stockpile bogging, load underground trucks, and assist broader underground operations while training and upskilling the national workforce. Remote loader experience is advantageous.
