- Position Brief- Senior Surveyor and Surveyor
About the role
The Gold Coast is one of Australia's fastest-growing cities, and the work our surveyors do is at the centre of it. From major infrastructure to environmental projects, our multidisciplinary team delivers outcomes that directly shape the places where people live, work and play.
We are looking for Surveyors to join us across a range of exciting projects on the Gold Coast. These positions are primarily engineering surveying roles however, as part of a multidisciplinary team, they provide opportunities to gain experience across engineering, hydrographic and cadastral surveying projects.
We welcome applications from candidates at all stages of their surveying career. Opportunities are available from entry-level through to senior positions, with appointment level determined by qualifications, registration status, experience, skills and demonstrated capability.
Undergraduate surveying students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply and may be considered for entry-level opportunities commensurate with their qualifications, skills and experience.

This is not a billable hours environment. You will have the project variety of a consultancy with the stability and work-life balance of local government!
What you will be doing
You will deliver survey services across a diverse mix of infrastructure, development, environmental and municipal projects.
This includes:
- Capturing, processing and delivering accurate survey and spatial data in line with legislative, project and industry requirements
- Managing projects from minor to complex scopes, ensuring quality, compliance, timeframes and client expectations are met
- Reviewing survey data, drawings and documentation for accuracy and suitability
- Collaborating with internal teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders
- Ensuring all surveying activities comply with WHS, environmental and quality management requirements
- Maintaining accurate project records and contributing to continuous improvement
What you will bring
- Relevant surveying qualifications, registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland, and industry experience are desirable. Appointment level will be determined based on qualifications, registration status, experience, skills and demonstrated capability. For higher-level Surveyor and Senior Surveyor positions, applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain,
Associate-level registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland and demonstrate experience and capability commensurate with the role.
- Experience covering the full lifecycle of engineering surveying projects is desirable.
- Current C Class Driver Licence.
- General Construction White Card or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- A sharp eye for detail and a genuine commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project stakeholders, contractors and survey teams.
