Helping Hands Building Services has been operating for over 30 years across the Great Lakes and Manning regions. We specialise in home modifications, maintenance and small construction works - the kind of work where you can see the result at the end of the day and know it’s made a difference.
The Work
This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Tradie who enjoys variety and working directly with clients. The successful candidate will live locally EG: Tuncurry, Taree and surrounding areas.
You’ll be:
- Installing rails, ramps and access modifications
- Completing bathroom and kitchen modifications
- Working in residential homes across the Mid North Coast
- Operating largely independently, with support from a small, experienced team
No big commercial sites, no FIFO - just solid, local work that helps people live safely at home.
What You’ll Need
We’re looking for someone reliable, capable and easy to work with who has:
- Certificate III in Carpentry (minimum)
- At least 2 years’ experience in residential building or carpentry
- White Card
- Ability to read plans and follow specifications
- Valuable working knowledge of building codes and safe work practices
- Confidence working on your own and as part of a small team
- A respectful manner when working in people’s homes, particularly with older clients
- Driver’s Licence and your own vehicle (to carry tools and travel between jobs)
- Willingness to complete Working with Children and National Police Checks
- Supportive team and a values-driven organisation
