About the role
Innotech Control Systems Australia is seeking a skilled BMS/HVAC Controls Technician to become a valued member of our Service team. In this Full-time role, you’ll provide essential technical, diagnostic, and field‑based support, reporting directly to the Service Supervisor. Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver commissioning, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs of Innotech BMS/HVAC products to required timeframes and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Projects Team, the Service Supervisor, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery, effective issue resolution, and strong customer satisfaction.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot Innotech software and associated control systems, including retrofit work on third‑party equipment.
- Provide training, guidance,
and technical support to clients on the operation and application of Innotech products and software.
- Complete all required documentation, quotes, reporting, and feedback, ensuring accurate records and contributing market intelligence to the business.

Experience and Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Cert III Electrotechnology (Electrician), Electrotechnology – Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or Electronics and Communications, along with the required electrical or restricted electrical work licence.
- 1–5+ years’ experience, with a strong preference for candidates with previous controls experience or Refrigeration Technicians looking to develop their skills in controls.
- Proven capability in commissioning, diagnostics, system modifications, documentation, and repairs across building automation and HVAC control systems.
- Strong understanding of control system principles, network architectures, and BEMS engineering tools, with advanced proficiency in Tridium Niagara and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Project, Visio).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, develop, and deliver controls projects from initiation to completion, including control selection, network design, programming, graphics creation, and working confidently with both Innotech and third‑party systems.
