Who are we?
Kurrajong have worked for over 68 years helping people with disability to achieve their goals and live a life of their choice in open, accessible and inclusive communities. We are a not-for-profit National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider. Our Head Office is based in Wagga Wagga, but we are located throughout the Riverina Murray region.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced, high calibre and purpose-driven Marketing and Communications Manager to the lead our Marketing and Communications team.

This role leads Kurrajong’s organisation-wide marketing, communications and brand function and will be responsible for strengthening Kurrajong’s profile and reputation, promoting its services and community contribution, and ensuring effective communications with clients, families, staff, donors, members, partners and the broader community.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can provide strategic leadership, sound judgment and the ability to move effectively between strategy, team leadership and practical delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Corporate Services General Manager, key responsibilities will include:

- Lead Kurrajong’s marketing and communications strategy, team and budget, working with leaders to deliver effective, on-brand campaigns and advice.
- Act as Custodian of Kurrajong’s brand, visual identity and brand voice, ensuring consistent, accessible and professional application across the organisation.
- Champion Kurrajong’s brand and lead clear, accessible communications that respectfully share the impact of our services and celebrate people with disability.
- Set direction for Kurrajong’s digital marketing, social media and content strategy and oversee the delivery of organic and paid campaigns while overseeing Kurrajong’s digital channels and campaigns, using audience insights and analytics to improve reach, engagement and results.




- Develop and maintain effective relationships with local and regional media proactively and identify opportunities to strengthen Kurrajong’s Public Profile.
- Lead preparations for media releases, key messages and public facing communications.
- Build strong relationships across Kurrajong and the community, leading communications for supporters, fundraising and key events.
- Provide regular updates on marketing and communications performance, engagement, expenditure and media activity.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Key Requirements:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or a related discipline, and/or substantial relevant experience.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain before employment).
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain before employment).

Essential Criteria:

- Experience leading or having senior responsibility for an organisation-wide marketing and communications function across digital and traditional channels.
- Demonstrated people leadership capability.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies,



integrated campaigns and brand initiatives aligned to organisational objectives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong contemporary knowledge of digital marketing, social media, websites, email marketing, CRM/marketing automation, SEO and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a responsive internal service function, build effective relationships with business leaders and teams also.
- Strong planning, project and budget management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, events, suppliers and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Commitment to accessible and inclusive communications and to Kurrajong's vision, values, privacy, safeguarding, risk and Work Health and Safety requirements.
