We are looking for a motivated, detail oriented Customer Service Assistant to join our Customer Service team at our head office in Altona North. This role combines customer service, order management and administration, and is perfect for someone who loves helping people and keeping things organised behind the scenes. This is a part time role, Monday to Friday, 1pm to 6pm with a 30 minute break, totalling 22.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and store enquiries via phone, email and live chat
- Resolve issues and customer feedback, following each enquiry through to completion
- Support corporate clients with their orders and requirements
- Process, finalise and manage orders accurately using Shopify and Gorgias
- Update product listings within Shopify
- Track drivers, monitor delivery schedules and keep customers and internal teams updated on any delays
- Maintain calendar entries related to orders and logistics
- Liaise with the bakery team to ensure orders are accurate
- Assist with packing, quality checking and dispatch during peak periods, using safe manual handling techniques
- Place and manage recurring supply orders for the office, warehouse and stores
About you
- Previous experience in customer service or administration (retail or hospitality preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Robust attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets and order management systems
- Confident using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, knowing which tasks to delegate, asking clear questions and verifying the results
- A safety first mindset, with a commitment to keeping yourself and your team safe at work
- A positive attitude, team player and passion for food and great customer experiences
