Baker Bleu was founded in 2016 by Mike and Mia Russell with a clear ambition: to create ethical, deeply flavoured sourdough with patience. From a small shop in Elsternwick, we have grown into a bakery grounded in tradition, community and craft, with our signature dark crust becoming a defining part of who we are.

Today, Baker Bleu has locations across Melbourne and Sydney, supplies leading restaurants and remains closely connected to the communities around each store. Our shelves are filled daily with freshly baked sourdough bread, pastries and food to share.

We are on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor ready to take the next step in their career, to support the Store Manager and help lead the team at our brand-new Bondi bakery, in a stunning location just moments from the beach.

About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support the Store Manager to keep daily retail service running smoothly. You’ll lead by example on the floor, guide team members during busy periods, maintain strong presentation standards and help create the warm, polished customer experience Baker Bleu is known for.

· Lead, support and motivate the FOH team during service.

· Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues with confidence.

· Keep the shop front beautifully presented, stocked and organised.

· Support opening, closing, POS, cash handling and daily store operations.

· Work closely with FOH, production and leadership to keep communication clear.

About You

You’re a positive, reliable hospitality or retail professional who enjoys being hands-on, helping others do their best work and creating a excellent experience for every customer. You bring energy, pride in presentation and the confidence to make practical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

· Supervisory or management experience in hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing environment.

· Experience leading shifts, coaching team members or acting as a senior team member.

· Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.

· Confidence with POS, cash handling, stock rotation and store presentation.

· A calm, flexible and solutions-focused approach during busy periods.

· Full Australian working rights.
