Southcare Medical Centre is currently looking to employ a suitably qualified, caring, Practice Nurse to join our team of dedicated doctors and support staff to ensure a smooth and efficiently functioning practice while providing an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
Initially the position will be Casual hours covering 3-4 days and Saturday mornings, with the possibility of more hours in the future.
Key responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to best available evidence
- Triage, immunisations, child immunisations and other injections
- Wound management and dressings
- Chronic disease management and assisting with management plans
- ECGs and spirometry
- Performing BSL and INR tests
- Performing ultrasounds
- Medical assessments and set up and assisting with surgical procedures
- Cervical screening tests (if applicable)
- Assist with triage, data management, diagnostic services,
networking with other providers, planning and management of patient care and patient advocacy
About you
- Appropriate tertiary qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Current qualified indemnity insurance
- Current driver's licence
- Current vaccination record and up to date vaccinations
- Current CPR certificate and 3 yearly update of this
- Maintain CPD as per your registration
- Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all ages and social groups
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently and the ability to prioritise and organise
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
