About the role
As our Research Ethics Lead, you’ll lead the end-to-end operation and governance of RACGP’s National Research and Evaluation Ethics Committee (NREEC). Reporting to the Research Program Manager and working closely with the NREEC Chair, you’ll provide expert ethics advice, oversee compliance and support ethical research across general practice.
As our Research Ethics Lead, you'll also:
- Manage NREEC meetings, ethics applications, reporting and records
- Provide expert advice on human research ethics and compliance
- Oversee complaints, breaches, non-compliance and complex ethics matters
- Lead quality improvement, audits, policies and governance processes
Skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health, research, law, ethics or related field
- Experience managing human research ethics processes and HREC operations
- Strong knowledge of research ethics, compliance, governance and quality systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, committee and stakeholder management skills
