About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager/CFO, you will be responsible for managing an allocated portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, account reconciliations, and providing exceptional service to customers and internal stakeholders.

This role is ideal for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage an assigned portfolio of trade debtor accounts and ensure balances remain within approved trading terms.
- Prepare, issue, and distribute customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and proactively follow up overdue invoices.
- Process and allocate customer payments accurately.
- Perform customer account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate customer records, including contact details, payment information, and account notes.
- Review and process new customer account applications in line with company policies and approval frameworks.
- Manage customer invoice queries and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues.
- Process approved credit requests, adjustments, and credit notes.
- Support month-end accounts receivable reporting and processing.
- Maintain accurate records, filing, and documentation.
- Escalate potential bad debts and support external collections processes where required.

About You





You will be a reliable and proactive finance professional with:

- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or a similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Experience managing customer accounts, collections, and reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and internal teams.
- The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- A sound understanding of invoicing processes, purchase orders, and payment requirements.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and general computer literacy.
